Jean H. Power
Jean H. Power received her BBA in Accounting at Texas Tech University and her J.D. from The Texas Tech School of Law in 1989.
Jean is a passionate, civic minded, results-oriented civil trial attorney with ample experience representing hundreds of clients in court, trying cases to the bench and jury, representing clients in mediation, conducting jury selection, conducting and defending depositions, and providing mediation services. Jean has represented clients in both the public and private sectors. Jean has practiced as a trial attorney and litigator for over 25 years and obtained numerous favorable court decisions for her clients. She has extensive experience in litigating trials before judge and jury as well as settling on favorable terms when appropriate. Jean now practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation, employment law, business law, and real estate law.
Jean is a member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Texas, the California Lawyer’s Association, and the Glendale Bar Association. She has served as an officer in various local bar associations and provided pro bono services in the assistance of victims of domestic violence. She has negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreements for the Union of Legal Services Workers. Additionally, Jean has trained pro bono attorneys in the private sector to assist in the representation of marginalized communities. Jean has also served as a radio host in Dallas Texas for the radio program, Law for the People, a call-in legal advice program.
Jean, a Texas transplant, calls Los Angeles home and has been married to her husband, Jerry for over 25 years with whom she has three amazing children, Gerard, Alexandra, and David.
